Small companions

Raccoons, rats, rabbits, and dart frogs bring more movement and personality to peaceful areas and survivor bases.

Each critter has its own temperament, taming method, preferred food, natural habitats, and small role in the world.

Distinct behavior

Critters do more than wander: raccoons dig and collect, rats gather in groups, and frogs defend themselves with blinding spit.

Wild raccoons hide their playful idle behavior while watched, then resume digging, rolling, and standing upright when they feel safe.

Mounts and utility

Leopards are fast, climbable mounts with a territorial roar that briefly empowers nearby allies.

The main mod page also lists Hyaenodon Gigas as a rideable Hyaenodon; its detailed creature record is still awaiting documentation.

Saddles and accessories

Equip creature-specific backpacks, pouches, lanterns, cheese accessories, and multiple Leopard saddle styles.

Accessories add practical effects such as weight reduction, damage reduction, portable light, armor, and visual variety.

Mutant Rat

A diseased Rat variant raises the danger with stronger attacks and a chance to inflict a nasty illness.

It shares the regular Rat's knock-out taming method but deals substantially more melee damage.

Getting started

Install the mod, explore each critter's preferred habitat, then use the taming method shown in its creature record.

01

Install and enable

Enable Cliffans Additional Critters on the server or single-player world, then restart the session.

02

Search the right habitat

Use the creature browser to see where each critter is most likely to spawn.

03

Use the correct taming method

Check whether the creature needs passive taming, knock-out taming, or the Raccoon's special dropped-item method.

04

Add creature equipment

Craft or spawn the documented saddles and accessories for weight, protection, light, or riding.

Taming is creature-specific. Raccoons use a unique dropped-item passive tame, while Rats and Leopards use knock-out taming and Rabbits and Dart Frogs use regular passive taming.

Creatures, stats, habitats, saddles & accessories

Switch between the creature bestiary and the equipment catalog. Every documented creature includes behavior, taming, utilities, base stats, likely habitats, and administrator commands.

Common questions

Quick answers for creature spawning, taming, abilities, accessories, and source documentation.

How do I tame a Raccoon?+

Wait for it to stand upright, then drop an item nearby. Taming progresses when it picks the item up; quantity matters more than item quality.

How does the Leopard's Mighty Roar work?+

Press Reload to roar. Nearby allies can receive movement speed, damage resistance, and attack power for a short time. The roar has a 45-second cooldown, while the buff can only apply every 120 seconds.

Why is Hyaenodon Gigas missing detailed statistics?+

It is listed on the main mod page and in version 1.0, but the linked creature database does not currently include a dedicated Hyaenodon Gigas page. The wiki entry is marked incomplete rather than inventing values.

Why are the commands different from the standalone Spawn Codes page?+

The standalone page currently contains Asharavel Bestiary commands. This wiki uses the commands embedded in each Additional Critters creature page instead.
